Tiki Tuesday will continue untill October 31, 2011.

The new time will be 5pm EVERY Tuesday from now until October 26, 2010. The Sand Bar closes for the season on October 31, 2010.

We had thought about ending the season this week but instead decided to move the time back to 5pm in order to allow more time for paddling before the sun sets.

Last night was a great night and we had 25-30 people attend. The weather was perfect.

Reminder that kayaks are available to rent for $20.00 the 1.5 hour paddle.

Yoga & Kayak Sessions

This fall, 2K Adventure Gear and Bliss Yoga are teaming up to bring you an hour of kayaking and an hour of yoga on the beach. This tour is a complimentary blending of proper technique both in kayaking and yoga. Proper technique is the key to effectiveness and positive results in all actions.

Prior kayaking experience is not necessary to attend this workshop. However the classes will take into account the kayaking experience of the group to all levels.

Classes are held Tuesdays 2-4pm  and Saturdays 1-3 pm.

The cost is $35.00 which includes a kayak, paddle and life vest in addition to yoga instruction.

Wisconsin River 2-Day Trip

Have you ever wanted to paddle your canoe or kayak along the banks of the Wisconsin River. The 2K Adventure Club is sponsoring a two day paddle on September 18-19, 2010 from Spring Green, Wisconsin to Boscobel, Wisconsin, approximately 40 miles.

Be prepared to camp on the banks of the islands or on the many sand bars that dot the waterway as it heads towards the Mississippi River.

The group will meet at 2K Adventure Gear in Richmond, Illinois early saturday morning and drive to Spring Green. Some cars will be shuttled to Boscobel. Our goal is to be on the water by 10am and get a full day of paddling on saturday.

Everyone joining the trip should be prepared to carry their own tent, sleeping bag, food and clothing in or on their boat. There are no canoes packing gear on this trip so be prepared to pack light.

We expect to arrive back in Richmond at 7pm on sunday evening.

2K Adventure Gear has 12' Old Town vapor Kayaks that can be rented for the weekend. Weekend rates are $95.00 and as always a 10% discount is applied to 2K Adventure Club outings. Net cost is $85.50  for the weekend.
